Our Story

A Passion Project by the Lake

Kapusod began as a personal sanctuary — a piece of land on Taal Lake's shore in Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas, shaped into a living expression of values held by its founders: environmental journalist Howie Severino and environmental lawyer Ipat Luna.

Every structure, every plant, every pathway is a conversation with the land and with the broader Philippine ecological heritage they have spent their lives defending. Kapusod is a home — and it opens its gates to those who want to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with nature.
